range of data on countries around the world. Gentle Subscribers may find
the extensive statistical data available, especially the facility to
compare countries on a broad and varied set of categories, a valuable
resource.

happy; from the most corrupt to the most generous. A browse through the
Crime Statistics / Prisoners / Per capita by country reveals the number of
people in the hoosegow per 100,000 people in 164 countries. In addition to
the almost overwhelming number of issues -- over 4,000 -- for which
statistical data is available, the site also includes over 200,000 articles
and quick facts. In spite of all the numbers, the presentation is lively
and gripping.
