Today's site, from math advocate Wayne Allen Bateman, offers basic math
instruction through a variety of interactive resources. Gentle Subscribers
will find materials suitable for instructional use as well as for brushing
up their own math skills.

to the majority of us, and welcome to this site. These free lessons will
show you that mathematics is not as difficult to understand as you may have
thought, when you learn the subject by visualization instead of
memorization. But don't just take our word for it. Try the tutorial. If you

The site features both audio and animated visuals to convey arithmetic
concepts. Among the topics covered are natural numbers, number bases,
integers, factors and fractions. At the bottom of each lesson is a list of
the sub-topics discussed in the "Chapter". Particularly useful for helping
youngsters develop math skills is the exercises/games section, with its
emphasis on a fun approach for reinforcing basic concepts.
