Applying Copper Foil Tape to a Metal Surface
-------------------------------------------------------
With the holidays and lots of business travel in recent weeks, I
decided to write a simple Technical Tidbit this month. In addition to
uses during the holiday season, copper foil tape can be very useful
around the lab. This month's Technical Tidbit discusses a method of
helping insure a low resistance connection between copper foil tape
and underlying metal.
Abstract: Copper foil tape is very useful for quick circuit board
changes, shielding fixes, and many other uses around the lab.
Sometimes a low resistance connection between the foil and the
underlying metal is necessary. A simple technique is described to help
insure a low resistance connection.
The link to the article is the picture of the experimental test setup
at the bottom of the home page at http://emcesd.com .
I am thinking of starting a weekly or monthly mp3 audio technical
podcast like, although manual download, program on measurement and
troubleshooting issues. It will be 5 to 10 minutes in length and
possibly start in January. It will be free! I will likely not announce
it here, just post it on my website so as not to generate too much
traffic all at once.
