Brian, that?s not always correct. Some times the Application note or guideline
does not help. I designed a Board with Intel Processor i960 which works at 33
MHz and I just followed the Application note guidelines. I did not simulate the
board and the design failed in first attempt. I am not saying that there may be
some mistake in Application note, I might have missed something. If I would
have simulated, this might not had happened. After simulating the board, I made
it work. It is always good if we simulate the board and check it for our
satisfaction.
