Doug,
There will be an article in the November 15th issue of ECN that Henri and I
co-authored. In this article we examine the effects of cables, connectors
and pc board traces within the signal path. We used RC circuits within the
connectors to compensate for the losses of the cables and the pc board
traces to open the eye pattern diagrams. This article will be available on
our web site when it is published: www.meritec.com
Henri's web site http://www.atspeed.net/library.html references some
excellent presentations that he has made on the subject.
Best regards,
John
