Just in case I wasn't clear previously, the permanent license *is* free -
you just need to register in order to receive it. The free trial period
allows you to use the software immediately until you have a chance to
register. Sorry if there was any confusion on that point...

The fixed expiration date is for the free trial period (i.e. without a
license). The license itself is a permanent license.
