Another is entitled to ask questions here, but is it too much to show us who
you are ?
If you are a student, you have an .edu account, right ?
If you are an engineer, you have your company's .com email other than
msn,yahoo or hotmail, right ?
If you don't have a .com or .edu address, at least you can tell us where you
come from, right ?
This is not AA or Dr. Drew Show, if you seek help, at least have the
courtesy to identify yourself. Is that too much to ask for ?

Subject: [SI-LIST] Re: Acceptable questions
For what it's worth ...
All questions are acceptable in the right forum at the right time.
Sometimes it's a matter of personal taste, preference, tolerance and
blood sugar level at the time. However, I find myself becoming
frustrated, disgusted, cranky and generally ignore posts when I intuit
one of the following:
1) The person posting is asking a tool-related question that should be
answered by an AE.
2) The person posting is asking a tool-related question and has
obviously not RTFM.
3) The person posting is most likely using unauthorized software.
4) The person posting is most likely part of an off-shore outsourcing
group and is trying to acquire information without effort.
5) The person posting is replying to one of the above and naively trying
to be helpful.
cheers,
scott
