Adeel, there is no easy answer to your question. The most important
piece is=20
knowing what standards are required for your device to get CE
compliance. This
part is best answered by a test lab. We tend to use TUV Product Service
for this
advice. http://www.tuvps.com/home.cfm

A second piece is getting good reviews from a pro. There are a number of
excellent
EMI "gurus" and you will save large amounts of money and time by
employing them for
a few hours. These are not all but are the best I know of.

The third piece is self-education. I have mentioned several times Keith
Armstrong. Search Keith Armstrong portfolio and you will find his
reference
guides which rival and exceed any books on practical EMI testing and
fixes.

You can also look at CE magazine. They have the past several years of
their
reference guides on-line and these articles will help a lot.

As Istvan has noted this is not the place for detailed EMI questions and

answers though many of us know the material. The subject *is* closely
related to
signal integrity since products with poor signal integrity will often=20
fail emissions. Many issues can be solved by cleaning up your worst
looking
signals!

Subject: [SI-LIST] Guidlines regarding the CE Certification for a
Product

Hi All,
We are designing a product for our customer that requires CE
Certification. Can someone comment or guide to a link that has
sufficient information about the CE certification process, its pros and
cons and what considerations to be taken care of while developing a
product destined to be CE Compliant ?.
