Hi, Hassan:

The MDSPICE from Zeland Software, Inc. has the capability to generate RLCG
from wide band S-parameters, and also to perform time domain simulation
directly from s-parameters.

However, performing time-domain simulation directly from s-parameters is
much more stable than extracting the RLCG from s-parameters.

For the question of finding the RLCG per unit length from s-parameters, it
is not a difficult problem for single TLN. However, the results may not be
useful. For single TLN, such a solution is an analytical solution. However,
there are some frequency points (around the integrals of half wavelength),
the extracted RLCG per unit length will have very strange behaviours. You
will see the extracted RLCG per unit length have sudden jumps while the
s-parameters of the RLCG match the smooth original s-parameters perfectly.
The reason for it is that the S11 and/or S21 are very close to singular at
some frequency points. Any noise (even numerical round-off error from
numerical formulas) will cause the extracted RLCG to vary wildly at those
points.

Interested people can give it a try. Thanks!
