That's really the question ... do all the various CAD tools all use the
same algorithm?  Is there a standard?  What do you call the "center of
the line" when going around a bend?

I figure it might be enough of a difference to add up after going
through a hundred or so bends.  Then again, the manner in which a board
chamfers its corners might add up after a hundred of them, too.
