[SI-LIST] Re: IBIS in hpsice

Last fall, I tried to use an IBIS file in HSPICE that I had been
successfully using quite some time in SigExp. I got un-expected
oscillations and it didn't settle to the correct DC level after a
transition. Turns out that if HSPICE (I don't remember what version)
didn't do a good job of interpolating the voltage and current between
the ground clamp and pulldown VI data or between the power clamp and
pullup VI data. After I added some data points to help it out, HSPICE
began to produce the expected results on my test bench. Neither SigExp
or the Hyperlynx Visual IBIS editor cared about the extra points.

But this was a Single Ended buffer model, not Differential.

Subject: [SI-LIST] IBIS in hpsice

Dear All
I have generated a Differential IBIS file and run the file by Sig-XP.

The performance is good and doesn't have any problem.=20

However, when I used the same file in Hspice, the output waveform=20

become strange. It's totally different with my expectation. Should I=20

have to set any thing when I use IBIS in Hspice or the IBIS file=20

is incomplete? Thanks.
