[SI-LIST] Re: problems with simulation of loop antenna far field using Wire-MOM

Hi, Kundanchand:

I saw your message in the Electroda discussion forum. I would like to give
some comments on it. If the loop antenna is very small compared to
wavelength, you shoulid not get E(theta) because the E-theta field is
cancelled by current flowing in opposite directions. However, when it is no
longer small compared to wavelength, the current flowing on the loop may not
be uniform. Then, you will get E-theta when the current flowing in opposite
directions can not cancel each other for the E-theta field. Such a situation
may happen only when the electrical dimension of the loop is big. You may
consider using surface meshing based MOM simulator for it for better
accuracy.

Best regards,
