Carlos,
You say that if I want to perform Xtalk simulation I have to define both single
and coupled models.
So the situation is the following:
Reflection ........analysis SQ uses SingleLineCircuits
Xtalk................ analysis SQ uses CoupledLineCircuits
Is this true?
Why SQ needs SingleLineCircuits if all the informations are supplied by
CoupledLineCircuits (CoupledLineCircuits is more detailed than
SingleLineCircuits)
Thanks again
Lucas

Lucas,
For Package models.....
Single Line Circuits is a required subparameter for Circuit Models keyword
this option must describe a single subcircuit model for each pin (ex. supports
Reflection).
Coupled Line Circuits is an optional subparameter for Circuit Models keyword
this option will describe the coupling and support the coupling window as
defined in the preferences section (ex. supports Crosstalk, Comprehensive).
You can use either Single Line or Both (Single Line + Coupled line) but Not
Coupled Line Circuits subparameter standalone.
Note when using keyword Coupled Line Circuits, any RLGC keyword definition
specified as part of package model is ignored.
You may find some examples in your cadence install directory/share/pcb/signal
directory (cds_packages.dml)
There is also other options (block circuits, etc.), if you want to get more
details, I would suggest to start a thread in specctraquest.com.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [SI-LIST] Specctraquest Multiboard
Hi,
I'm setting up a multiboard simulation in Specctraquest.
The 2 boards (same .brd) are connected with 2 connectors and a cable.
The connectors models are IbisDevice with a spice subcircuit in
a Package model and a DesignLink connect the 2 boards.
If I assign a "SingleLineCircuits" spice model the simulation works well.
(reflection)
Problems occour when I try to assign a "CoupledLineCircuits" to the Package
model. (needed for comprehnsive and crosstalk simulation)
If I assign only Coupledlinecircuits the 2 boards seems like disconnect.
Have I to assign both SingleLineCircuits and CuopledLineCircuits?
If so, how they're used? (singleline for reflection and coupled for
comprehnsive and crosstalk simulation?)
SQ reference manual asserts that Sub-parameter SingleLineCircuits is REQUIRED
in defining CircuitModels; Why? Isn't "SingleLine" model embedded in multi-line
model?
Any suggestion or comment about this topic will be appreciate.
Thanks and regards
Lucas
