Peter,
It can be done as follows:
(i)Select save circuit file before your run the simulation.
(ii)This will create a simm directory and go that directory and run
    spc2spc
(iii)This will run and read the k-spice file and generates the 
  main-gen.spc file

(iv)This is a generic spice file and you will need to define your own driver
and receiver when you run in Hspice.

I am not sure if they did any changes in their new release.

Hi SI List,
I am currently trying to do some HSPICE simulations on broadside coupled
lines. I do not have access to a field solver to create the necessary
RLGC information needed for the W-Element. We have a spectraquest
license and I had heard that I could export a net from either
sigexplorer to HSPICE compatible format or from a board layout in
spectraquest. Is there anyone who has experience doing this. 

I would have contacted cadence, but I believe that there is a quicker
turnaround time on the SI List, that is if someone knows the answer.
Also I thought others may be in a similar situation and would find this
information useful.
