Business Group Overview 

 

Employees in Intel's Mobility Group design and implement the Intel
mobile technology used in notebook computers, phones, ultra-mobile PCs
and other portable devices. Intel's industry leading technology includes
processors, chipsets, Enhanced Data for GSM Environment (EDGE),
Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS), High-Speed Downlink
Packet Access (HSDPA), Wi-Fi and WiMAX wireless radios. These
industry-leading technologies are driving the new mobile era of
semiconductors, where people will  carry their computing with them,
making it truly personal. This group is growing very quickly, and has
the broadest set of mobile and wireless technologies in the industry. 

 

Qualifications 

 

You should possess a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree (a Master
of Science degree and/or a Ph.D. is preferred) in Electrical
Engineering, focusing on Radio Frequency (RF), analog circuit design,
communications theory, digital signal processing. Additional
qualifications include: 
- Good hands-on lab skills, experience working with RF test equipment
such as spectrum and network analyzers 
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and must be
self-directed and/or self-motivated 

 

Responsibilities 

 

In this position, you will be characterizing, analyzing root cause, and
writing technical papers on the impact of RF interference and noise in
PC notebooks on the performance of embedded radios such as WiFi,
Bluetooth*, WiMAX, Digital TV, Global Positioning System (GPS),
cellular, and Utrawideband. You will be working in a RF lab, creating
test plans, setting up RF and performance test equipment, and making
measurements to analyze the impact of radio interference. You will also
be working with the latest wireless technologies and studying how to
integrate them into PC notebooks.
