[SI-LIST] Long trace open on the both ends

Hi SI Experts,
We have an existing design in which I have been asked to study the
possibility of depopulating a part of the circuit (for cost reasons). This
will leave a trace about 6" long, open at both ends. The trace is part of
the analog circuit, and there are no high-speed signals near the trace. My
main concern is that since the trace is adjacent to the Power plane, it
will pick up noise and then radiate it at its resonant frequency with
unpredictable results. Even if I terminate it at the two ends, it may
only alter the frequency of resonance. I would like to know:
1) Will there be any noise/EMI issue if I leave the trace as is.
2) What will happen if the trace is shielded, and
3) Will it help if I add pads for resistors to terminate the trace at both
ends.
4) Is there any possibility of simulating the trace behavior.
I will really appreciate the feedback.
