[SI-LIST] Re: IBIS Models

As you are new to IBIS models, just be aware that some IBIS models are junk.
Anyone can create a lousy IBIS model and put it on the web; or someone might
change the name of a model to suit a temporary need, and then someone else
finds it and makes it available to others; etc.
If you are looking for models that already exist, it's best to get them
right from the source: the IC manufacturer. Hopefully they will stand
behind them, and they are likely to be the most up-to-date.
But be aware that even IC manufacturers can create lousy IBIS models.
Sometimes the only way to get one you can trust, is to make it yourself or
pay someone to make it for you.
Regards,
Andy
