[SI-LIST] Cisco Systems, RTP, NC, SI Intern Position

Cisco Systems, RTP, NC, is looking for an Intern in the Signal Integrity
group.

Preferred Start: May/June 2007
Preferred Duration: 7-9 months (3 month internship will be considered
as a 2nd choice)
Required Education:
- Must be a Master's/Doctoral student in ECE/CPE.
- completion of a Design of Packaging and Interconnect, Signal
Integrity, course is preferred.
- must have classwork/background in digital and analog circuit design
- must have lab work / experience in operation of basic lab equipment,
such as oscilloscopes, pattern generators, etc.
- experience and/or classwork in networking architectures is a plus.
- experience and/or classwork in electromagnetic design and analysis
is a plus.
- must have some familiarity with H-Spice simulations
- experience with PERL language is a plus.
Duties to include:
- correlation of SI simulations to laboratory measurements
- verification of the simulation models and methods
- Matlab script enhancement
- Modeling (Model generation and verification using CST, HFSS, PowerSi)
- Hspice simulation - responsible for:
- lab measurements of various circuits across several technologies
- comparison to simulation results and identification of differences
- working w/ SI engineers to analyze differences and adjust models
and simulations
- operation and maintenance of lab test product hardware and test
software
- management of lab measurement equipment
- performing simple circuit simulations using several software tools.
- other SI tasks as required
