I have an opening in my high-speed characterization group at Altera.
Job Description:
As a Senior Characterization Engineer or MTS, you will characterize
complex FPGA products with emphasis on multi-Gb/s, high performance I/O
interfaces. You will develop characterization strategies, plans, and
schedules by integrating different requirements from various engineering
and business departments. You will execute device characterization
which involves test logic and vectors generation, simulation, hardware
(PCB) design, performing bench measurements, data analysis, presenting
results, and generating reports. You may function as a project leader in
a small team of engineers.
Qualifications:
The candidate must have in-depth knowledge in signal integrity
characterization. Knowledge in mixed-signal circuits such as PLL, CDR,
and high speed I/O buffers is required. Project leadership and
management experience is preferred. The candidate needs to have good
written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of high speed I/O
protocols, such as PCI-Express, XAUI and GigaBit Ethernet, is strongly
desirable. Knowledge of CMOS digital circuits is a plus.
Experience:
MS or PhD in EE or with 2-4 years.
About Altera:

system-on-a-programmable-chip (SOPC) solutions. Combining programmable
logic technology with software tools, intellectual property, and
technical services, Altera provides high-value programmable solutions to
