FreeLists / si-list / [SI-LIST] PCI Express Edge /Slot Dual design cosideration

Hi,
    I am designing a board with two PCI express edge connector (one side x4 and 
other side x8 Edge).  Planning to use an edge to slot converter on the edge 
connector to function as a slot . What are the design considerations to be 
taken care for the dual design apart from - Voltage, clock and reset - 
direction reversal.
