What I usually do is something like this:

.subckt svia inp inn outp outn ref
Spkg inp inn outp outn ref mname=smodel
.model smodel s tstonefile='../diffvia.s4p' fbase=xxx fmax=xxx
.ends svia

Hope this helps. You need to make sure your port setup in s4p match the
subcircuit.

Sorry if this has been covered:

I have a need to deliver HSPICE netlists that use S-parameter models = (for
vias).  Don't have HSPICE documentation to check the correct syntax, and =
our netlist won't pass thru the HSPICE parser.  Error is on the =
"DATAFILE=3Dxxx" =20

Here's the relevant text:

" svia n1 n2 n3 n4 0 fqmodel=3Ddiffvia "=20
" .model diffvia      sp      n=3D4     datafile=3Dvia.s4p "

Comments from you HSPICE experts out there, greatly appreciated...
