Joseph,

I believe there are some differences in the higher
frequency models, more than just the frequency.
You can do what you are suggesting to get a first
order evaluation of your design, but for more
precise details you should use the correct models.

Subject: [SI-LIST] A question about IBIS usage method

Dear all,

When I can't get the update version IBIS model that I need, I would
perform the =
simulation=3DE2=3D80=3DA6=3DE2=3D80=3DA6=3DE2=3D80=3DA6=3DE2=3D80=3DA6=3D=
E2=3D80=3DA6
Is it reasonable to use the lower speed IBIS model (for ex.DDR2-400MHz
component) instead of the updated higher speed IBIS model(for ex.
DDR2-533MHz component) for higher speed DDR 533MHz bus simulation if I
only simply changed the working frequency of IBIS model with simulation
tool?
Can the IBIS model support this action ? or any others I want to
consider ?

Thank you for your reply.
Best Regards,
Joseph Kao
