[SI-LIST] Re: UN Petition to Stop War- Spread the Peace

Regarding the recent "Petition" posting to si-list:
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion regarding current world events, and
furthermore they are entitled to voice their opinions, however I don't feel
si-list is the correct venue.
Si-list's charter is one of technical discussion and information exchange.
Si-list's membership is worldwide with subscribers on both sides of many
issues. As such, please keep the list postings apolitical and limited to
technical matters. I'm sure there are numerous places on the net where
political discussion is welcomed and encouraged. I'd encourage anyone
interested to express their opinion there.
I'm not attempting to limit free speech, just suggesting that those who wish
to express themselves, do it in an appropriate venue.
Enough said....
