I can do both, eyes open eyes closed, but closed really wins out.
That's interesting. I almost always do it eyes closed, even though I
do it in a changing bag and so there's little reason to; I've always
rationalized this as somehow when I'm trying to do everything by
feel, I think I can concentrate better on the sensations from my
fingers when I'm not getting extraneous input from my other senses.
