Another day trip would be to Beatty and Rhyolite and maybe the
Ebehebe Crater. I've seen aerial shots of the crater. Absolutely
amazing. Do you know if it is possible to drive up real close to
the edge of the crater and hike down or is that taking too much of
a risk???
Bogdan, you can drive up close to the crater. There is a trail to
the rim of the crater and it goes around the top. The slope inside
the crater is steep - probably at the angle of repose - and would be
risky to enter (or prohibited just don't remember).
