Metol will dissolve in a 100g/l sulfite solution. It does take heating
the solution to 125F (no big deal as Kodak recommends this anyway) and
*lots* of stirring. I learned this one time making up D-76 and forgot
to add the Metol before the sulfite and hydroquinone. So much for
multitasking.
