Don't go without phoning and making a deal about what you want. There's no
point (cost-saving-wise) paying anyone to ship a single one hundred pound
bag, so going and picking up is pretty well the rule.
A one hundred pound paper and plastic bag of sodium thiosulfate anhydrous
is around CND130. Sodium sulfite anhydrous is about sixty dollars for a
twenty five kilogram plastic bag.
Transfer the chemicals to large plastic pails with heavy lids, the type
found in restaurant garbage. Neither of these is a noxious powder in the
least, so handling them is no problem. Outdoors is good, although they are
not particularly dusty. Indoors, I just lay out some newsprint on the floor.
These prices are from last time I bought anything there, a couple of years
ago, but I doubt they are much increased.
