Thanks for the speedy reply, and, yes, there was a mistake in one of the 
variables. Unfortunately, however, fixing that hasn't fixed the problem. I've 
just used phpform successfully to generate a script and create a table in the 
same database on the same server and then copied and pasted the appropriate 
variables from the config script phpform created over to the Phorm 
MyFormConfig.php3 script: Phorm still can't open the database. 

I've also tried using localhost.localdomain -- doesn't do any good. 

Could it be the directory structure? I've got my form and my form config 
script in the main Phorm folder. That's right, isn't it?
