The test at the BS site is, as you'd expect, rarely ever works
and when it does, it's never accurate nor consistent. I've
been doing this for years and the most consistent site I've
found is http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ . But if you do a
search you can find hundreds more. If you're on their 6mb
service, then should be getting at least 6000k at that site
(and any site) for downstream. I don't remember what the
upstream is for their 6mb service, 768k or 512k. But I never
get above about 430k for that. Divide by 8 for KB/sec, which
in this case of 6000k would be the theoretical download speed
of 750KB/sec.
