Hi Ryan,

The original plan was to make it exclusively for Longhorn, meaning that 
people would have to purchase Longhorn in order to use it.  However, I'm 
wondering whether it could be architected in such a way to allow it to run 
on earlier versions of Windows, using the .Net Framework.  This would 
require that some of the components of the screen reader be rewritten to 
work on earlier versions, and some of the functionality wouldn't be 
available in versions of Windows earlier than Longhorn, as Longhorn contains 
some very useful facilities for accessibility, but it may be possible to get 
something for earlier versions.

I'll give it some thought as to how it could be architected in such a way as 
to provide this.  In a way that would be the optimal architecture going 
forward, as you could roll over components from one version of Windows to 
another, just rewriting those that didn't work on the new version.
