ORA-600
- From: "Susan White" <swhite@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

We have an 8.1.6 database running on Linux. One of the tables contains
two blob columns. About 3 weeks ago, one of the admins decided to do
maintenance on the blob columns by reinitializing those he determined
had no data. At this point, the database started throwing ORA-600
errors and writing frequently to an smon trace file. We don't normally
support this database, so I just heard about it today.
The ORA-600 codes of 2022 does not show up in the Metalink ORA-600
discovery tool. I do, however, get the following message in the alert
log: Error 600 encountered while recovering transaction on (1,83) on
object 22284. The DB has been bounced since this started. It opened
cleanly but then started a new smon trace file with the exact same
messages.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Susan
