Installing App Server Meta Repository into RAC 10G problem - runRepca crashes at OID with TNS problem

I am installing the Meta Repository into RAC 10G 2 node  D/B on Solaris 10.
Im running runRepca and it crashes at the OID install stage with a TNS can
connect error.
Anybody any suggestions or clues. I have checked all prerequisites and tried
a few times.
