2.  in latest releases, like windows xp, you can't select text
clicking on t he cmd windows, this is only in older 2000.

It depends on you command window settings. Right click on the titlebar -> Properties -> Select "Quick edit mode".



It works in sqlplus too(as far as I recall , it was during the execution of utlrp) . The next upgrade I'll try to setup a test case :O).
