That's a pretty generic description of what the book is about<g>. =
Here's my take on it: I can follow directions and most of the books =
concentrate on the 'how.' I need to know more when's and why's. I =
save a lot of threads from this list because they offer practical advice =
plus answer some of the how's and whys. Some of these threads would =
make very nice chapters in a book. HTH

I'm trying to do some marketing research for a book proposal, and the
company wants to know 1) If there is a demand for the type of book and =
2)
direct quotes from people who would be interested in the book, in =
particular
interested in buying the book.

Everyday DBA

It is a book about the real way that real DBAs do things. It is ways =
that
we all get our jobs done as quickly and efficiently as possible, =
shortcuts
that we take and interesting ways that we get around difficulties. =20

The company is really interested in the book, but knowing that other =
people
are too would be a benefit in getting the book through the process.

If you could, if you are interested, please email me off line.

Thanks
April
