Thanks, Michael, but I always inspect it before I run it. Creating new
control file on a regular basis means that you are creating copies of
your production database on another node. That can be scheduled in advance,
so there is enough time to take a look. Let me guess: you are using BCV's
to create another copy of the database? At this point, I have a question for
Robert Freeman if he knows whether RMAN will support BCV's in near future or
not?
Getting rid of empty lines isnt complicated at all: just add /^\s*$ as a print
condition, and it will skip empty lines as well.
