Grid Control failover configuration

I have found plenty of documentation and examples for using Grid Control
to manage switchover and failover. I've even used it a few times. Does
anyone have their Grid Control set up for failover as well? I have two
environments which are configured similarly:
Solaris 9 with a database and the Grid Control software with the 10gR2
database setup with a physical standby managed by Data Guard.
RHEL 9 with a database and Grid Control software with the 10gR2 database
setup with a physical standby managed by Data Guard.
I have looked at the Oracle Application Server Guard configuration but
it seems pretty complex and I don't have any experience with OAS outside
of Grid Control. I've also looked at the Metalink "Best
Practices" (note 405642.1) but was wondering what the masses are using.
Thanks,
Kevin
