Well, I guess you'd: 1) have to know whether ts_reader is telling you the
screen aspect ratio or the display aspect ratio, wouldn't you?, and 2)
you'd
have to look at the resulting video on a device set to native resolution,
just to make sure.
What is your experience with Ts Reader? Does it report in video
parameters
the sar or the dar?
Sorry, my personal experience is with Sencore TSM.
However, your argument is that KUSI is 720x480. Is that a 16:9 display
format, or a 4:3 one? Hint: I mentioned stretched video; perhaps Fred
didn't see that.
No, John. Yet again you fail to read or comprehend. YOU asserted that KUSI
was 704x480i native 16x9. I replied that they are 1280x720p60 native 16x9,
with material that is upconverted NTSC without any pillarboxing, hence the
horizontal stretch.
You cannot show me a single posting authored by me today that asserted that
anybody, anywhere, at any time, has brodcast an ATSC program stream in
720x480i, in any display format. I would ask you to go over my postings
again to prove you are wrong, but like the Fonz, you can never utter the "W"
word.
Now, if you wish to continue to mischaracterize my statements then "prove"
I'm wrong, then this conversation is over.
John
