Isn't DAB a trademark (the hardware), a service mark (the transmissions) and
a logo, all tied to Eureka-147? That was the state as of 1990; I doubt it's
changed much since then. IIRC, they weren't able to get service mark
protection in all countries where they applied.

The acronym "DAB" may have been popularized in reference to
Eureka-147, but it's still just a general term. I see no reason to
connect it only with the European standard, unless it's a trademark.

You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways:
- Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at
FreeLists.org
- By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word
unsubscribe in the subject line.
