For what it worth, my draft "net_data" attempt is visible in our source tree,
under trunk/src/tests/kits/net/new_stack/buffer.{c|h}, while the public
interface is defined in trunk/src/tests/kits/net/new_stack/headers/net_stack.h.
It also come with a very simple net_buffer queue...

Naive is a very good description of this implementation :-)

Being in the last month before Kid v2.0 release, my contributions will most
probably limited to watch and post this mailing-list. Sorry.
