Argh!
It's really bad luck... and weird?
BeOS PPC don't have any busses-controlers kernel modules too?

As the select() hack guy here, I'm not opposed to an ugly *hack* to add
these 3 functions for PPC support, but I'm quite a hacky-guy ;-)

As David seem to be in the middle of changes to add transparents usage of
modules under both user and kernel-land, I'll bet that current CVS userland
build may be broken ATM.
But I can't confirm right now for Intel side, as I don't have a BeOS system
there (at work)...

core.o is included in user-land build system, yes. In kernel-land,
he's the main part of the "core" kernel module, but under userland net_server,
it's simply one of the C module...

For -nostart option, sorry, I dunno what it does... or not.
Could you give us some hint here?
Remember, many of us never build for PPC platform, myself I've done it
only once, for PDF Writer driver.

-Philippe, who still don't have find time to finish his Y3ATSSUR5 code
(Yet Again Another Attempt To Support Select Under R5).
