I believe that Axel made a fun green check-mark thingy for the MDR
prefs. Here's an idea for config (I think we should have three tabs:
Devices, protocols, and config. The check mark would let you enable/
disable devices, and select them for editing. All globally enabled
protocols are listed, but can be turned off for specific devices. THe
Protocol panel would look much the same, except with a list of
protocols, and global protocol specific config. Here's the way device
config would look:

| PPP | Device-specific settings, like phone number,
etc.

auto-detect
