[openbeosnetteam] select() under R5, set_alarm workaround and ping

Hi guys,
Following our IRC tonigh on #openbeos, I've tested another workaround
to try fix the timeout feature
of select() without stealing SIGALRM / set_alarm() settings this time.
Bascily, we fire a thread, who snooze the timeout period and, if
select() didn't have return yet, send a signal to interrupt him.
I find out that SIGINT works pretty well as our... interrupt signal
here ;-)
As I'm too tired (it's 02:30 AM here, still 5:30 before going at work :
-( ), and as I don't want to commit yet another
"need to be fixed" fix, I'll not :-p
But, we should be able to fix soon the ping SIGALRM issue with
select(), I hope.
-Philippe, on the way to dreams.
