Philippe,
Something in your commit has broken select! I'm not really sure what, but
basically we no longer obey timeouts, we just return! This means we have all
sorts of funnies but the upshot is that name resolution and virtually
anything else that needs select is currently broken.
Can you have a look and see what caused it?
Still, we made a fair degree of progress again today :)
