No build warnings, impressive.

I have another machine, currently running linux, not sure what kind of 
cable I need for this. I believe I have a nullmodem cable.

Could you point me to a faq or so how to run a serial connection with 
the output?

Does the net_kit automatically create its debugging output? I just have 
to hook it up and enable debugging at bootup. right?

I'll play with it some more soon.

Well, have you got another machine?
Can you try setting up a serial connection to view the debug output?
Do you get any build errors warnings? If so can you post them here :)

Basically if you can send us details of where it goes into KDL and what 
was
happening at the time...
