Hi,
I sent an email about a week ago that I was done with Ping testing,
and was looking for some feedback on what to tackle next. I didn't
get any responses, so I'll try again. Im done testing Ping. I dont
think I can test anything else until route is fixed, which Phillipe is
working on.
What is everyone (who is working on something) working on?
Scott, you are testing the stack as well. What are you focusing on?
At the moment, not much. For the past three weeks I've been working on
a hot project from my employer that has been eating up most of my
so-called "free" time. I'm expecting to finish work on or about next
Friday. Once that's done I'm back on netperf so we can start abusing
the stack.
I'm thinking that nmap might also be another good stress-testing tool.
I think nmap would be a good tool because of some of the "strange
packets," for lack of a better description, that it uses in its port
scans. Things like x-mas tree, SYN, yadda yadda yadda.
If you've got some cycles I've checked the netperf sources into the
tree. See if you can a) get them to build and run, and b) integrate
into the OBOS build, write a Jamfile.
I'd ask Ingo to write the Jamfile but Axel said that this would be a
bad idea. :-)
Phillipe, you are working on route. Are you also working on ifconfig?
I don't want to duplicate anyone else's work...
Brennan

Scott
