Hello folks,

The Haiku website has a good number of inactive accounts, that is, 
accounts that were created but never activated or used. Many of these 
accounts are a result of spam bots; some may be from the user migration 
from the old website to the new one in early 2007; a few others may be 
due to users who misspelled their email address during the account 
registration, and therefore were never able to activate the account as a 
result.
Anyway, we are going to remove all the inactive accounts shortly, and 
while we do not expect this to affect any legitimate and/or active 
users, we wanted to give advance notice just in the very improbable case 
that some of you may have forgotten to activate you account. If so, now 
is the time. :)
The deletion of the inactive accounts will take place about one week 
from today, on January 1, 2008.
I also take the opportunity to request that you complete your user 
profile in the website to the extent possible. We are particularly 
interested in your country of residence, as this allows us to better 
understand the demographics of the user base. If you have not completed 
your profile during or after registration, just log in to the website, 
click on the "Profile" icon (upper right corner, under the menus) and 
you will see links to adding your full name and country.
