The hybrid RAM/disk drive thing is "ReadyDrive". I agree that's more sensible
for when HDD manufacturers put a certain amount of flash memory within the hard
disk - I'd class that feature as just supporting the new type of drives more
fully. It does indeed make sense for swap files and sleep modes. The
"ReadyBoost" idea of using external USB sticks is the one that's flawed IMHO.
I'll get off my high horse now and hope things drift back on-topic...
