But it is faster than Kid (which it wants to replace) and who knows
what will happen in the future...
We're talking here in a range from 0.33 to 5 ms which is fairly
unimportant when it comes to CGI stuff. A persistent process is far
more important and security checks: eg. TAL on Zope runs security
calls on *every* element called within a template.
