No, mine was just an addition to Michael - we develop the whole system 
at once, as Michael said.
I just said that you won't be able to use the old BeOS with the new 
kernel, that's all.
You also won't be able to use our libroot.so with the old kernel, for 
example - it's not everything replaceable easily or at all in the lower 
layers.
But many things are, and we already have certain things replaced, like 
the Mail Kit (courtesy of MDR), Print Kit, Translation Kit, etc.

We'll be completely R5 binary compatible for applications and drivers!
The only thing I left out are file systems, because I am mean and evil.
