Most mail clients, even many on BeOS itself, do not send the attributes 
with the file, so it was probably something not expected to be needed.

Is there even some sort of system call that can get the attributes size 
in the BeAPI (total for all attributes or for a single attribute)?  I 
suppose I could grab my BeBook and find out myself, but it's in the 
other room, and I'm being lazy tonight.  :P

Is this something that should be there if it isn't already?  If so, is 
this an RFC item for the OSBOS standards?  :P
